Brett Wallace is a conceptual artist and entrepreneur whose art practice involves an exploration of the labor model and territories within accelerated capitalism through video, narrative storytelling and installation. In the last year, he has had solo exhibitions at Art 3/Silas Von Morisse Gallery, where he is currently represented, and TFNF in New York, which have examined the social issues of work in increasingly automated fulfillment centers. A recent review in artcritical shared how Wallace’s work examines the “gap between lived experience and digital immateriality that these workers inhabit daily.” Wallace is currently launching Amazing, a startup that inspires new futures for work.
Wallace has studied technology’s impact on society through his work at Forrester Research and LinkedIn/Microsoft. He holds a BFA from UMass Amherst, is an alumnus of Harvard Business School and is pursuing an MFA at MICA. In 2014, he founded the “Conversation Project”, an interview series at the intersection of art and technology.
