My vision is to help others "see" and transform the world in new ways.
And, my mission is to explore identity, memory and the experience of living in the connected economy.
In today's digital economy, we are increasingly connected and informed. We also rapidly consume information and images across many platforms and devices. As a result, our identities and experiences are more transparent, ever-changing and amplified than ever before.
My strategy has several components to it.
1. Create work that asks questions about experience in the new economy. 2. Construct dynamic narratives based on powerful personal experiences and current events. 3. Build a surface in my work that is filled with an all over, yet controlled energy. 4. Use multiple images to break up the composition, but integrate into a storyline. 5. Incorporate objects and found materials to consider how digital and physical integrate.
