Organized protests monitored by the NYPD including coverage of the January 30, 2019 hearing between New York City Council, NYCEDC and Amazon. As reported by Curbed , “Council members blasted the officials with a laundry list of concerns including Amazon’s union opposition, its investment in the city, and accusations that city and state officials failed to accurately calculate the costs of bringing the conglomerate to Long Island City.”
Additional footage includes actions outside City Hall leading up to the hearing and canvassing led by organizers, joined by local politicians, in NYCHA in the borough of Queens.
